The new Deepal S05 adopts a “Symbiotic Aesthetic” design, officially described as the “Interstellar Wing” styling. The split-type LED headlamps are seamlessly integrated with the hood, presenting a futuristic front fascia. The closed-off front bumper features a dual-layer air intake design and active grille functionality. On both sides are the DEEPAL intelligent pixel headlights with high and low beam integration. Four exterior color options are available: Moonlight White, Lunar Gray, Flowing Silver, and Cosmic Black.
Side Profile
Staying true to its compact SUV positioning, the S05 features a sleek silhouette with black side mirrors and wide black wheel arch trims. It comes standard with 18-inch low-drag wheels, with 20-inch wheels optional on select trims. Hidden door handles enhance the vehicle’s aerodynamic profile. Dimensions measure 4620mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1600mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2880mm—providing a solid foundation for spaciousness.
Rear Design
At the rear, the S05 sports a two-stage roof spoiler with a centrally mounted high-position brake light. The through-type taillights offer strong visual recognition when illuminated. The rear bumper features a recessed license plate area and contrast-color design, adding to the three-dimensional appeal. Decorative diffuser elements further emphasize its sporty character.
Interior
Inside, the S05 removes the traditional instrument cluster and instead features a large-size HUD (Head-Up Display) and a 15.4-inch 2.5K resolution central control screen. A three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a wireless charging panel complete the minimalist, tech-forward cockpit. Two interior color options are offered: Heatwave Orange and Meteorite Gray.
Features
Premium features include a zero-gravity co-pilot seat, 8-point front seat massage, and HUAWEI HiCar smartphone integration. Storage space is ample, with a 159L front trunk and a 492L rear trunk. On the intelligent tech front, the car runs the DeepSeek R1 AI model and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The DEEPAL AD PRO driver assistance suite includes adaptive cruise control, highway pilot assist, and driver-initiated lane changes.
Safety
All long-range variants of the S05 come standard with CATL battery cells and Deepal’s high-strength “Golden Shield” battery technology, meeting the latest national safety standards. The body structure is composed of 78% high-strength steel-aluminum hybrid materials and incorporates 7700T mega-casting, an integrated aluminum body, and CTV battery-body integration. The curb weight is 1,856 kg, balancing safety and lightweight design.
Performance
The vehicle is powered by a rear-mounted single motor producing 200 kW of maximum power. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.48 seconds, with a top speed of 185 km/h. The 68.82 kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery delivers a CLTC-rated range of 620 km. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes only 15 minutes. The car is also equipped with micro-core high-frequency pulse heating technology, allowing the battery to warm up by 20°C even in -30°C environments, boosting performance by 50% and improving charging efficiency by 15%.
